Notary Program

Policy and Records Administration ensures that notaries are available on campus and at other locations for both university-related and unrelated business, and assists individuals in becoming notaries.

Fees are set by the notary’s discretion, not to exceed $15 per signature. No fees apply to university-related business.

Notaries On and Off Campus

The following notaries provide services on campus and at medical centers. All work is performed weekdays by appointment only; you must call or email in advance.

Notarial services are also provided by commercial enterprises, such as banks, check-cashing stores, and mobile notaries. See local listings below.

Become a UC San Diego Notary Public

The notary public program assists individuals who are required by their department to become a notary. The notary program coordinator guides the applicant through the process and provides information for the applicant's successful commission.

The notary program is also responsible for and operates by recruitment; however, it is not responsible for payment of any fees outside of its program recruitment.

To learn more about becoming a UC San Diego notary public, read the Policy and Procedure Manual, section 470-5 (PDF), Supplement I: Guidelines for Becoming a Notary Public.
