Design Review Board

In conformance with UC Regents policy, the Design Review Board advises the Chancellor on facility design and landscaping guidelines and the designs of new buildings and major landscape projects to ensure that safety and security are essential components and consistent with applicable planning guidelines. Membership includes:

  • Three architects from the private sector
  • One landscape architect from the private sector
  • Academic and administrative co-chairs of the Campus/Community Planning Committee
  • An at-large representative of the Academic Senate
  • The Vice Chancellor of Resource Management & Planning

Charge

The Design Review Board is charged with the review of facilities design and major landscape projects to insure that they are architecturally appropriate and consistent with the Long Range Development Plan and UC San Diego planning principles as specified in the Master Plan and Design Guidelines.
