Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
With funding from the Department of Energy’s EV Project, UC San Diego has installed several public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
EV Leasing Program
UC San Diego is working with EV manufacturers to offer students, faculty, staff, and the campus fleet promotional leasing rates to fully utilize the campus EV charging infrastructure. Campus electric vehicle use will serve as the basis for long-term consumer behavior research.
True Zero Tailpipe Emissions Project
The Zero Tailpipe Emission Project, coined the “Tailpipe Endgame,” aims to eliminate greenhouse gases and air pollutants from local transportation sector vehicle tailpipes by using secure, domestic, renewable energy resources to charge a variety of new electric vehicle models from 12 international manufacturers and the top 10 EV Support Equipment (EVSE) suppliers.
